It’s hot and stuffy across northern New Zealand and just plain hot in the central South Island this afternoon!

Central Otago took the hottest region in New Zealand today. Tomorrow may see even higher temperatures with a large high moving in and northerlies picking up over the South.

Had a series of little whirlwinds in Papakura about 3.30 this afternoon. No damage at all, just a furious but brief rattling in the trees.
