Temperatures over 3/4 of the country were quite warm but the far south certainly felt a chilly day once again.
Tonight it’s expected to be a little cooler over the South Island with a few showers possible in the south and west. Single figure overnight lows should also be quite common in central and southern regions of the North Island, while other areas should see the hours of darkness bring near average night time lows.
Friday is likely to see temperatures in the low 20s across much of the northern part of NZ and the low to mid teens are likely to remain in the far south once more.
The top temperature of 28 degrees went to Napier while the low of 12 degrees was recorded in Invercargill.
