Very high temperatures were recorded in the east of the mainland today with Dunedin hitting a record temperature for the last week of April.

Todays highest temperature was 27 at Kaikoura, Timaru, Alexandra, Dunedin and Dunedin Airport.Todays lowest  temperature was 15 at Lake Rotoiti.

Apparently Masterton had it’s highest April temperature today as well.
I like seeing places like Dunedin being the national high, makes maximum and minimum’s for the country interesting rather than Kaitaia taking the maximum and, say , Invercagill taking the country’s low.

You caught me on my day off (much to popular belief I do have some days off each week!) but I had to reply.

I agree – I felt the same way on Saturday when Auckland FINALLY made the top spot – which is rare.
