Well I recorded 29.5c this morning and drizzle has now moved in though its on and off. Phil is that front bringing much? or is it slowly fading out?
Enjoying the temp slowly dropping as its now 21c
I am a winter person so the colder the better for me and glad this heat wave is over…..

Hey Andrew,
29.5…nice!
It’s just starting to move in now. As I said on NewstalkZB this morning, the front is weakening as it moves northwards. Although I just noticed those showers we had earlier have turned into a band of rain over Coromandel…lucky campers!
The main front is about to make landfall over the Auckland region, it’s slow moving and is weakening still…I doubt we’ll see very much from this front now…it’s completely falling apart. A period of showers is probably the most we’ll get. I very much doubt we’ll get hail or thunder as per the M/S forecast… just doesn’t feel active enough. That secondary front over Coromandel is another story though – but that’s heading out to sea now. Tauranga may get a rumble of thunder out to sea.
Bring on the cooler south west change I say!
Phil.
