This list above from what I can read does not include Waiouru, Kawerau,Le Bons Bay or Reefton which sometimes are mentioned as the maximum or minimum for the country. There may be other places who have official recording data, but why aren’t their temperatures included on this list?
If that is the case, mention of them being having the maximum temperatue or the minimum temperature for the day is NOT official??

These are the temps that are provided to us by MetService… perhaps they have technical reasons for not supplying all. However if any of those places you mentioned reach the hottest or coldest spot they do supply them to us – as you can see Waiouru made the nations lowest high today, but isn’t in the list. We’ll look into it.
