Daily Debrief – SATURDAY

WeatherWatch.co.nz

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Not an overly hot day today despite mostly settled weather.  The high pressure system that rolled in overnight has ‘locked in’ the cooler air from the week’s polar blast over the South Island.

Meanwhile, as predicted, a sunny start in Auckland changed to overcast and wet conditions by noon.  As we head into this evening the easterly breezes continue to blow the clouds in to Northland and Auckland with most of the showers now between Whangaparaoa and Whangarei and just a few misty/drizzle patches left in Auckland.

Tomorow should be sunnier in the north, with similar conditions to today everywhere else.

Today’s highest temperature was 25 at Kaitaia.

Today’s lowest maximum temperature was 15 at Gore, Dunedin, Dunedin Airport and
Invercargill.
