Cold front to move up the South Island and weaken – Rainfall Maps

A cold front from the Southern Ocean will track up the South Island on Tuesday and weaken completely as it reaches Cook Strait. 

This will produce some heavy rain on the West Coast but most likely only a few showers or short lived patchy rain for the south western North Island.

Here’s the rainfall outlook for the next couple of days, as you can clearly see the heaviest rain is on the West Coast.
