After a wet few days in the North Island a breather period is now moving in from the west.
Dry, sunnier and calmer weather is expected for most of New Zealand on Friday but it will be short lived ahead of the next front moving in from the west on Saturday.
A new low will deepen off the Hawkes Bay coast on Sunday bringing wet weather there but another breather period of dry weather looks likely to return for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
WeatherWatch.co.nz is still monitoring a possible storm arriving next Thursday from the Tasman Sea. We’ll have more details tomorrow after the next two computer model runs.
