Australians are in for another heat wave with temperatures surging into the 40s C. From today along the south coast of Australia, facing the Great Australian Bight, temperatures will rise 8C or more above average and particularly coastal area of SA could reach 40C at many places.
By Thursday a heat wave will also come back across South-East Australia.
As for NSW temperatures will rise near 40C on Friday and perhaps even hotter by next Monday. The Weather Company is forecasting that parts of Sydney will reach the low 40s by next Monday as the heat wave peaks there.
However before then, on Saturday, a southerly flow is expected to blow from the sea with temperatures decreasing along the south coast but this will not impact NSW.
How much hotter than average?
