It’s been touted as the opportunity of a lifetime for young Kiwi builders – living in Antarctica and working at Scott Base.
Antarctica New Zealand and the Certified Builders Association are calling for applicants to apply to an apprent-ICE scheme.
It’s open to any newly-qualified builder or carpenter with leadership skills, a passion for complex construction, and the ability to work unsupervised.
The successful candidate will secure return flights from Christchurch to Scott Base, enough clothing to cope with the extreme weather, and have their living costs catered for.
Applications close in a fortnight.
