High pressure dominates most of New Zealand today with light winds. A weak low off the North Island’s east coast has a couple of showers in it otherwise dry.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly Sunny with light winds or SW breezes. Warmer than average inland. Might be a light shower in western Northland.
Highs: 18-22

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Quite sunny with light winds.
Highs: 17-21

Eastern North Island
Sunny and cloudy areas but a couple isolated showers around Hawke’s Bay and Gisborne. Light winds.
Highs: 17-20

Wellington
Mostly Sunny, light winds.
Highs: 16-18

Marlborough & Nelson
Sunny with light winds.
Highs: 19-21

Canterbury
Mostly sunny. Light winds. Mild afternoon.
Highs: 17-20

West Coast
A mix of sun and cloud with light winds. Perhaps and isolated light shower later.
Highs: 17-18

Southland & Otago
Cloudy near the southern coastline, sunnier inland. Light nor’westers. Above average afternoon temperatures.
Highs: 16-18
