The forecast for Anzac day morning looks mostly dry for most of the top main centres but showers may also be in the mix for a few.
A front is slowly moving in this long weekend – and a few showers may be around the North Island on Friday. The latest rain maps suggest a risk of showers around some lower North Island regions from Taranak to Wairarapa, but most other places look dry or mostly dry.
In the South Island conditions look dry for most main centres, but a few early showers might greet those in Dunedin – along with strong to gale south west winds.
Temperatures across New Zealand in the morning will range from late single digits in the south to mid-teens in the north.
The weather this long weekend is a bit messy – the slow moving front means timings of rain or showers could change by a few hours to several hours – so please keep up to date with forecasts for the most accurate picture.
