Another frosty start – #WeatherRisks on Friday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Today’s outlook is pretty docile for the most part, though late on in the day there could be some potentially heavy falls in places – so it’s something to look out for.

Many inland parts of the South Island were looking frosty this morning, though nothing too extreme – Ashburton, Gore and Queenstown all in the low single digits to start off the day.

A low sitting to our northwest will shake things up heading into the weekend, especially for the northern part of the North Island – though that won’t start to make itself felt until late tonight or early Saturday morning – as the low pushes heavy rain through onto Northland and then Auckland.

Keep an eye on the site through the day, because this weekend is shaping up to be very eventful weatherwise in the North Island – and we will have the latest as the day progresses.
