TOP DEBATE
The sound of rain on the roof greeted a number of drought stricken farmers across the upper North Island in the early hours of this morning – but, was it enough?
WeatherWatch.co.nz says that rain has fallen across Northland, Auckland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty although the rain was patchy.
Head weather analyst Philip Duncan says not all centres were lucky. “Some places got a good solid downpour lasting over an hour – others were not quite so lucky. I guess one positive is that it appears Northland and Waikato seem to have benefited the most”.
Mostly dry weather will kick in today however, with possibly 10 days of dry weather on the way.
