Wow, that’s amazing footage. We were staying in Maroochydore, an hour north of Brisbane, when both this storm struck and another a couple of nights later, and I’ve never seen lightning like it. Will try to post my own YouTube footage later in the week.

Will do. Got some great still shots of a huge thunderhead out over the ocean as well. Who knew my summer vacation would turn into a weather watchers dream? :o)
