As most may know the week ahead is looking like settled sunny conditions will prevail.
An easterly airflow around the top of the anticyclone currently over New Zealand will bring some cloud to Northland from time to time and even the chance of the odd light shower. Some cloud will affect Gisborne too with the risk of a morning or evening drizzle patch there.
With moisture levels being fairly reasonable about the place at the moment and clear skies with light winds coming about in the evenings, inland parts of the North and South Island may experience low cloud or fog during the wee small hours.
This could well apply to a few coastal areas about the lower North Island and most of the South Island, Canterbury was a good example this morning where low cloud was about early this morning however it burnt off as the morning progressed.
Temperatures are looking to be in the mid to high 20’s for most. Some inland parts of the South Island will see low 30 degree high’s.
