A freezing start to the day – Your photos & posts

> From the WeatherWatch archives

UPDATED 9am: It’s another morning of sub-zero temperatures around the country ahead of a clear and calm Friday – with Alexandra becoming particularly cold in the hours before dawn!

Many inland parts of both islands are currently sitting below zero, or in the low single digits – places like:

  • Alexandra: -3.9C (feels like -7C!)
  • Gore: 0.3C
  • Wanaka: 0.8C
  • Christchurch: -1.1 (feels like -3C)
  • Taupo: 4.3C (feels like 3C)

Temperatures as of 9:00am

We’ve had a huge response from around New Zealand about the cold start to the morning – from both islands and on both coasts.
