A Christmas tale – Thursday’s weather risks

> From the WeatherWatch archives

There isn’t much in the weather stocking today as far as risks go – in fact, it’s looking pretty settled right around the country.

Some isolated showers may crop up in places in the Central North Island, particularly southwest of Lake Taupo towards evening – and there could even be a heavy downpour in there.

In the South Island, it’s a similar story for parts of the ranges of Nelson and Marlborough – but nothing to get too worked up about, it’s looking otherwise dry and calm for your Christmas Day.
