A break in the rain for some

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Northland, Auckland, the Coromandel Peninsula and Waikato are just some of the regions to find themselves with a break in the rain.

For Northland and Auckland, the rain isn’t likely to make much of a return. There could be some light showers here and there, but the heavy stuff appears to be over.

The Coromandel Peninsula and Waikato will see rain return this afternoon. Some pockets of heavy rain are possible. Rain is still falling about the Bay of Plenty through to Taranaki along with some areas of heavy rain. Heavy rain warnings remain in place for the Coromandel Peninsula along with the western Bay of Plenty and Gisborne.
