5.2 Earthquake widely felt across Hawkes Bay

An earthquake measuring 5.2 has hit Hawkes Bay this morning reports WeatherWatch.co.nz.

The earthquake, which was 50kms south of Hastings near Porangahau was widely felt across Hawkes Bay reports GeoNet.

The quake was also shallow, just 15kms deep.

There have been no reports of damage at this stage.
