Holy summer in the Waikato Batman !!! The weather station in Hamilton central is reading 23 degrees while the other stations around the Tron are reading 6-8. Even Tauranga is 8 degrees. Hereβs the station ID if you want to have a look. IHAMIL475

Your prediction graphs that I can find are cut off from the time of observation, can we access the recorded weather from earlier in the day or week in the same or similar format somewhere?

Hi Richard, sadly NZ has no free open historical data β unlike all other modern nations (Australia, UK, USA, Canada etc). We are working on some fixes but until the Government removes their Niwa/MetService commercialisation of tax funded observations we wonβt be able to display it. As far as keeping our own forecast history itβs a huge expense to privately do this/store the data for all locations so we canβt afford to do that at this stage.
There is a Government review on now about Niwa and MetService β¦ but weβre not holding our breath for the right change as the previous review was ignored.
Niwa has some data in CliFlo β if you can navigate how to find it.

Just use your fingers to navigate the trends screen and you will find the rain, wind, temperature etc. for the next 10 days yourself. You already know this!!!
