Yep, more rain is coming – here’s the 3 day Rainfall Accumulation Map for NZ

> From the WeatherWatch archives

With another large low on the way (the third large system in just a couple of weeks) we have more rain coming in for Friday and the weekend.

As we’ve been seeing with recent events some of the rain is hit and miss and even within regions some may miss out on the heavy downpours – while others miss out on the large dry areas. And there will be plenty of large dry areas this weekend and next week, despite the rain clouds.

Here’s the latest best thnking for where all that incoming ‘hit and miss’ rain might go. The totals, for the most part, aren’t extreme but show soaking rains are returning for some. Those with blue, green and yellow shading have the least amount of rain in the three days ahead.
