A cold snap is continuing to push into eastern and central areas today with temperatures well below average for some.
In Wellington it’s just 10 degrees with a near gale southerly. In Chistchurch it’s also 10 degrees with plenty of cloud and gusty southerly winds, with Kaikoura on just 9.
Akaroa has just 7.
Further north and Hawera in south Taranaki only has 12 degrees this hour while a near gale southerly hits New Plymouth.
Napier and Gisborne are only on 13 degrees while Waiouru has dropped to only 5 degrees.
Bay of Plenty, the West Coast and Northland are the three warmest regions this hour with temperatures between 17 and 19 degrees.
