Many places are a bit windy today and some still have downpours – great news for Canterbury where there have been some good areas of rain overnight for the drought region and some rain continues on this morning.
Downpours are also affecting Wellington, Wairarapa and the West Coast while a few showers are also affecting Southland the western side of the North Island, mainly Taranaki and Waikato.
It’s windy in a number of places too as the big south west change behind yesetrday’s front moves in.
Blustery conditions will be off and on this week, especially for central, southern and eastern areas.
Despite the wind and lower temperatures in some places remember burn times in the sun remain unchanged with UV rays now EXTREME in many regions. Windy weather often catches people out, not feeling their skin burning – so remember to slip, slop, slap and wrap!
