What are your rainfall figures for March?

> From the WeatherWatch archives

We’re keen to hear how much rain you’ve had at your place this month – and if you know, is it above or below average for this month?

Heavy rain fell across parts of the upper and eastern North Island overnight and this morning – some people have reported flooding while others said the rain was not as heavy as they expected from rain warnings.

We have had 124ml so far about normal for March. We are coastal but further inland only about 100ml I believe.

My figures for Wayby just south of Wellsford show 140 mils to date for March which is above average for last 7 yrs we have been here. Certainly March this year different from 2010 with just 19 mils. We were on the edge of this last low but the 45 mils we received was very welcome.
Cheers Steve
