Wet again for some in the north

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Parts of the north and east of the North Island had some big falls overnight and the Bay of Plenty should see conditions ease a little this afternoon.

Localised downpours have occurred in a number of areas causing some surface flooding and making driving conditions hazardous.

Today the rainband is expected to continue to slide slowly eastwards but further heavy falls are still possible around the north of Gisborne and the ranges.
Yesterday Auckland saw some good rainfall totals with a blustery northerly but the temperatures remained quite bouyant and remained relatively high overnight.

Further south it’s a different story with just some low cloud expected to hug eastern areas but inland and out west, sunshine with just a few clouds should be the order of the day.
