Spectacular weather is predicted for some regions this weekend while others have to contend with wintry showers and strong winds – at least for Saturday.
WeatherWatch.co.nz forecasters predict the minor wintry snap affecting some deep south parts yesterday and today will linger into Saturday although temperatures are expected to gradually rise.
A few showers on Saturday are expected to linger around some coastal areas, especially the west coast of both islands and Southland, but sunny/dry spells should be more frequent.
Winds will ease for the top two thirds of New Zealand as a strong high rolls in but gusty conditions could linger for parts of Otago and Southland right through until Sunday.
By Monday all of New Zealand should be under mostly sunny, settled, weather with WeatherWatch.co.nz predicting mostly settled weather across the country next week.

Can we expect Auckland to experience all 4 seasons over the weekend?

Possibly on Saturday but Sunday is looking pretty good. Might be quite a cloudy high for Aucklanders though.
