It’s been a long week for many New Zealanders – so we’re sure this forecast will be welcomed by most.
Generally the country is under a large south west flow.
This means western areas will still be a bit cool and cloudy with showers more likely the further south you head.
In the east, however, it will be much sunnier, drier, calmer and milder this weekend.
The forecast for Wellington and Kaikoura is mostly positive too.
