Weekend looks settled…but Monday does not

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Weather conditions across New Zealand will gradually improve today with a mostly dry, sunny and warm day for almost everyone.

The sunny, dry, weather should continue into Boxing Day as well with hotter weather moving in.

However a new low pressure system and associated fronts look set to bring some wet and windy to holiday makers on Monday and Tuesday.

Strong to gale force – possibly severe gale force – wind will affect the lower North Island and eastern parts of the South Island.

WeatherWatch.co.nz will bring you more details across the weekend.

– Merry Christmas, from everyone at WeatherWatch.co.nz
