Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly cloudy with showers Auckland northwards, rain for southern Northland may be heavy then easing afternoon onwards. Showers about Coromandel too. Bay Of Plenty has a mix of sun and cloud. Breezy easterlies.

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Mostly sunny, some afternoon cloud. Easterly winds.
Highs: 10-14
Eastern North Island
Mostly cloudy with a light shower or two, mainly for Hawkes Bay and Gisborne. Easterly winds.

Wellington
Any morning cloud clears then sunny, light east to northeasterly winds.

Marlborough & Nelson
Morning cloud for Marlborough then a sunny afternoon, Nelson is sunny from morning. Light winds tend onshore in the afternoon.

Canterbury
Morning low cloud or fog possible then breaking to mostly sunny weather, northeasterlies become breezy in the afternoon across the plains.

West Coast
Mostly sunny for North Westland, morning fog for inland Buller. A bit cloudier further south with showers for Fiordland, turning to rain in the evening. Light winds for most.

Mostly sunny, any morning cloud clears coastal Otago then expect some high cloud from afternoon. Late evening showers for Southland then overnight for coastal Otago as northerlies change westerly.
