Wednesday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

It looks like it will be another dry and settled day for most of the country.

The southern edges of both islands may see a few showers.  Areas around New Plymouth and Palmerston North could see showers this evening.  Invercargill could see showers late this afternoon.

Otherwise look for plenty of sunshine today.  Temperatures will be mild for the most part with plenty of thermometers topping out between 20 and 25.

However, cooler highs are expected along the southern and western coastal sections of the South Island where highs are expected to be in the mid and upper teens.
