An anticyclone covers the whole of New Zealand today bringing mainly settled and sunny weather, expect a few areas of cloud through mainly for eastern areas. Coastal Otago may see cloud hang round for much of the day.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato, CNI & BOP
Mostly sunny skies with light winds and afternoon sea breezes, there may be a few clouds about for northern parts of Northland in the east.

East of the North Island
Mostly sunny weather with some cloud mainly to start in the morning, light east to southeast breezes.
Highs: 22-23
 
Western North Island
Sunny with light winds and afternoon sea breezes in coastal areas.
Highs: 23-25
 
Marlborough & Wellington
Sunny skies with northeasterly breezes for Marlborough, light northerlies in Wellington may tend southerly in the afternoon.
Highs: 20-22
 
Nelson
Sunny in Nelson with afternoon sea breezes.
Highs: 22-23
 
West Coast & Canterbury
Mostly sunny weather with some cloud mainly morning and night. Light north to northwest breezes for the West Coast and northeasterlies in Canterbury.

Southland & Otago
Mostly sunny skies for Central Otago and Southland with morning cloud clearing to reveal a mostly sunny day, westerlies pick up late afternoon about Southland. About coastal Otago expect cloudy periods with light winds tending southerly.
