Wednesday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The slow moving area of low pressure that brought showers to parts of New Zealand yesterday will continue to make things rather wet for today.

Clouds and chances for showers will cover most of the country today.

Southland and Otago should be fairly dry today, with the exception of Dunedin where a  few showers are possible this morning.

Showers are pretty likely for the northern part of the North Island for much of today.  The central and southern North Island could see showers this afternoon and this evening.

The northern half of the South Island could also see showers this afternoon and this evening.

Highs today will be in the upper teens to lower 20’s, with some mid 20’s possible for central Otago.
