An anticyclone brings mainly settled weather to New Zealand today.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly sunny with light southeasterly winds. From afternoon winds tend northeast about Northland and Auckland bringing some cloud, especially about eastern coastal fringes with the risk of a light shower or two.
Highs: 13-16

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Sunny with light winds, tending to the east.
Highs: 8-13

Eastern North Island
Mostly cloudy for much of the day and mainly dry, a shower or two about some coastal fringes like Mahia Peninsula. South to southwesterly winds die out in the evening.
Highs: 10-12

Wellington
Morning cloud then mostly sunny, light winds tend northerly around midday.
High: 12

Marlborough & Nelson
Sunny with light winds.
Highs: 10-12

Canterbury
Mostly sunny, some high cloud from afternoon. Light northeasterly winds.
Highs: 8-11

West Coast
Mostly cloudy, the odd light shower from afternoon about South Westland. A drizzle patch or shower arriving in North Westland later in the evening. Light east to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 10-12

Southland & Otago
Sunny areas and some high cloud, light north to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 6-10
