An anticyclone lies over New Zealand today bringing mainly settled weather.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
A mix of sun and cloud, chance of an isolated shower for Northland later in the day otherwise mainly dry. Light winds then afternoon sea breezes for most.
Highs: 17-20

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Mostly sunny, some cloud builds about inland hills / ranges in the afternoon bringing the low risk of an isolated shower otherwise mainly dry. Light winds tend westerly after midday.
Highs: 15-18

Eastern North Island
Mostly sunny, light winds tend east to northeast around midday. Some cloud builds about the ranges in the afternoon, there may be an isolated shower for the hills of Wairarapa otherwise mainly dry.
Highs: 15-18

Wellington
A few early showers possible then sunny areas increase, southerlies tend northerly around midday.
High: 15

Marlborough & Nelson
Morning cloud breaks to sunny weather, northerly winds develop.
Highs: 15-17

Canterbury
Morning cloud then a mostly sunny afternoon, east to northeasterly winds freshen.
Highs: 14-16

West Coast
A mix of sun and cloud, light winds tend west to northwest in the afternoon.
Highs: 14-16

Southland & Otago
Morning cloud breaks to mostly sunny weather, some late evening high cloud. About coastal Otago morning cloud breaks to sunny spells. Northwesterly winds for most, tending northeast about coastal Otago.
Highs: 14-16
