A ridge hangs over New Zealand today bringing mainly settled weather, a few showers about however mainly for Auckland northwards and about Fiordland.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly cloudy with a shower or two about Northland and Auckland. The Waikato and Bay Of Plenty sees sunny areas and increasing cloud, a shower or two later in the afternoon / evening. Light westerly quarter winds for all.
Highs: 15-16

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Morning cloud may bring a shower or two then breaking to sunny spells, light west to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 10-14

Eastern North Island
A mainly sunny day with light winds.
Highs: 13-15

Wellington
Sunny with light northerly winds.
High: 13

Marlborough & Nelson
Sunny with light winds.
High: 12-14

Canterbury
Sunny with light winds, tending northeast near the coast in the afternoon.
Highs: 11-13

West Coast
A mix of sun and cloud, cloud about Fiordland is thicker with a light shower or two at times. Light winds.
Highs: 11-12

Southland & Otago
Mostly sunny with a touch of high cloud, mainly later in the day. Light north to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 9-14
