An anticyclone brings mainly settled conditions to New Zealand today.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly sunny, some cloud at times about the Waikato. West to southwesterly winds.
Highs: 20-21

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Morning cloud may bring a shower or two then expect sunny spells, west to northwesterly winds ease.
Highs: 16-19

Eastern North Island
Sunny with light winds in the morning, tending east to northeast in the afternoon near the coast.
Highs: 19-22

Wellington
Mostly sunny weather with northerly winds.
High: 18

Marlborough & Nelson
Sunny with light winds.
Highs: 18-20

Canterbury
Sunny with afternoon east to northeast winds.
Highs: 15-17

West Coast
Mostly sunny with light winds after any early cloud breaks away. Fiordland sees cloudy periods however and a light shower or two with light northerlies.
Highs: 13-16

Southland & Otago
Mostly sunny with west to northwesterly winds easing in the afternoon.
Highs: 15-16
