A pleasant day is expected for much of New Zealand today. The onshore flow could keep some showers going for Napier and Gisborne. Welliington could also seem some showers.
n the South Island, a few showers are possible about Invercargill as well as Queenstown. But of those two areas, Invercargill looks to have the better chance for getting wet.
Otherwise, believe it or not, most of New Zealand should be dry today. Even Auckland looks setttled and pleasant today. A few late day sprinkles are not out of the question, but chances are very small. In addition, anything that does happen to fall should be pretty light and pretty short-lived.
Winds will be light for most areas. Gisborne, the Bay of Plenty and Hawkes Bay may some moderate northerlies today. Wellington should see some moderate easterlies today and Christchurch will likely have moderate north to northeast winds.
Highs today will range from upper teens to lower 20’s. The only exceptions being central Otago where highs should push into the mid and upper 20’s, especially for areas that see a decent amount of sunshine.

We have some blue stuff & a yellow thing showing up & very nice too but wind is still a pain. Nowhere near as strong but still having a cooling effect. No precipitation so far.

“Pleasant” will be if we ever see some sun this week after a terrible start to February – various records for lack of sun are threatened here.
