Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Cloudy areas and occasional sun, risk of a light shower otherwise mainly dry. West to northwesterly winds freshen. Overnight winds tend light southerly with the risk of a shower.

Eastern North Island
Sunny with light winds tending northerly or northwest, afternoon easterlies for Hawkes Bay. Overnight winds change southerly with some cloud and the risk of a light shower.
Highs: 19-23
Wellington
Mostly sunny with some developing high cloud, freshening north to northwesterly winds. Overnight expect a southerly change.
High: 16
Marlborough & Nelson
Mostly sunny with a touch of high cloud, thickening in the evening. West to northwesterly winds change southerly overnight.
Highs: 19-22
Canterbury
Mostly sunny with increasing high cloud, northwesterly breezes becoming gusty for some inland areas. An evening southwest change (strong about the coast) brings increasing cloud then a few light overnight showers / drizzle patches.
Highs: 20-22
West Coast
The odd light shower or drizzle patch, some rain moves into South Westland by midday then further north late afternoon / evening. Easing back to showers later on as northwesterly winds change southwest. Conditions drying out overnight.
Highs: 14-15
Southland & Otago
Sunny areas and increasing high cloud, freshening northwesterly winds becoming strong for some. A gusty southwest change mid to late afternoon brings showers then clearing overnight. Cold overnight especially inland with the risk of a frost by dawn on Thursday.
