A ridge of high pressure brings settled weather to many parts of the country today but there is still some cloud and even the chance of a shower about for some, for more details check out the forecasts below.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Mostly sunny with gentle south to southwesterly winds, some cloud at times during the day about Northland and Auckland.
Highs: 12-14

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Mainly sunny skies, light winds.
Highs: 10-12

Eastern North Island

Risk of a morning shower mainly right on the coast any of which clear, areas of cloud slowly decrease during the day. Cold southwesterly winds die out in the evening.
Highs: 12-13

Wellington

Chance of a morning shower then sunny areas increase, southerlies die out in the evening.
High: 10

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny with light winds after a frosty start.
Highs: 11-12

Canterbury

Sunny areas, some cloud about too mainly near the coast. Afternoon east to northeast winds.
High: 9

West Coast

Mainly sunny with light winds after a frosty start especially inland, cloud increases later in the day with showers moving in overnight. Northeasterly winds.
Highs: 10-11

Southland & Otago

Mostly sunny with some thin high cloud gradually increasing, a frosty start. North to northeasterly winds.
High: 7-8
