Wednesday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Happy ANZAC day!

It looks like it will be a lovely day for outdoor plans.

The ridge of high pressure that we’ve talking about for days and days will hold on through today.

As a result, we will see quiet and settled weather for most of the country.

Some rather cloudy conditions are expected for the deep south of South Island.  Also, some cloudier conditions are expected for the Bay of Plenty and Gisborne.  Conditions should remain dry despite greying skies.  Precipitation chances are around 20% or less for these areas.

The rest of the country can expect a mainly sunny sky with a few clouds mixed in.  Afternoon highs will be in the upper teens to lower 20’s.
