Wednesday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Today is the day our Tasman high becomes a Pacific high.

As the high moves across the country, shower chances will shift from the South Island’s West Coast, Southland and Otago regions this morning to the North Island’s Hawkes Bay and Gisborne regions for tonight.

I would not even be surprised to see Christchurch get a few showers tonight.  However, that’s a pretty small chance.

Otherwise, it looks like another dry and settled day for the rest of country.

Look for a mix of sun and clouds on the South Island where daytime highs will be in the mid teens to around 20.

On the North Island, look for more sun than clouds.  Highs are expected to be in the low to mid 20’s.
