High pressure dominates the country today, slap bang right in the middle of the nation ensuring mostly calm, warm, weather today. However once again we see a few downpours popping up, especially afternoon in Waikato and/or western BOP.

Auckland Northland Waikato BOP

Light easterlies, mild, with daytime clouds and downpours especially around Waikato and western Bay of Plenty. 
Highs: 24 to 28
Lows: 14 to 17

Western North Island (also Central Plateau)

Some cloudy areas, especially around later Taranaki. Mild with light winds.
Highs: 25 to 27
Low: 12 to 16

Eastern North Island

Light winds and mostly Sunny. Some clouds, especially in the afternoon around the ranges.
High:  23 to 25
Low: 11 to 14

Wellington

Stunning day – Mainly Sunny with light variable winds.
High: 23
Low: 15

Nelson & Marlborough

Stunning day – Mainly Sunny with light variable winds. Might be a downpour in the Nelson ranges later.
High: 23 to 25
Low: 11 to 14

West Coast

Mostly Sunny, a few clouds – mainly in the hills.
Highs: 22 to 26
Low: 10

Canterbury

Mainly Sunny with light winds.
High: 24
Low: 12

Southland and Otago

Mainly Sunny with light winds or light westerlies. Some cloud possible around Southland.
Highs:  18 to 26
Lows: 10
