High pressure will still give New Zealand mainly settled weather tonight, the main weather extreme which has been strong easterly winds about Christchurch will ease this evening.

Northland

Clear spells and some cloud, southeasterly breezes.

Tonightâ€™s Lows: 15-17

Auckland

Clear spells and some cloud, cloud breaking up a little overnight. Northeasterlies ease this evening.

Tonightâ€™s Lows: 15-16

Central North Island, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Clear spells and some cloud, light winds. Northerlies about the Bay Of
Plenty ease this evening.

Tonightâ€™s Lows: 10-14

Eastern North Island

The odd drizzle patch clearing this evening, cloudy skies break up a little
overnight. Easterly winds ease.

Tonightâ€™s Lows: 13-14

Western North Island

Clear with a few clouds, breezy easterlies ease later this evening. For
Taranaki winds are more of a sea breeze for coastal areas, these winds will ease
this evening.

Tonightâ€™s Lows: 11-13

Wellington

Clear spells and some cloud, east to northeast breezes.

Tonightâ€™s Lows: 11-12

Nelson

Mainly clear skies with northerlies easing later this evening.

Tonightâ€™s Low: 13

Marlborough

Mainly clear skies with easterlies easing later this evening.

Tonightâ€™s Lows: 10-11

Canterbury

Mainly clear skies with strong east to northeast breezes easing about the
coast this evening, lighter winds inland. There may be some low cloud about the
coast for a time this evening then breaking up overnight.

Tonightâ€™s Lows: 9-10

West Coast

Mainly clear skies with sea breezes easing this evening, cloud increases
about Fiordland however with northerlies.

Tonightâ€™s Lows: 10-11

Coastal Otago

Mainly clear skies with east to northeast breezes easing later this
evening.

Tonightâ€™s Lows: 10-11

Central Otago

Clear skies with light winds overnight, some high cloud may push in
overnight.

Tonightâ€™s Lows: 7-8

Southland

Mainly clear with northerly winds, some high cloud gradually
develops.

Tonightâ€™s Low: 11
