The weather has improved for many of us but hasn’t quite cleared the country entirely yet.
Lingering showers in eastern areas of the North island are taking their time to disappear but the southerly is on the way out.
What sort of night was it like for you and was this morning a bone chiller to wake up to?
Tomorrow should see most of us near normal end of May levels in terms of temperatures but tonight could be very chilly in some places with near zero readings or below in some cases.
How about the heating? We’ve heard demand was at its greatest overnight and this morning and if you’re at work are you making the most of what’s on offer??
As always we’d appreciate your take on this real taste of winter.

Hi WW,
Was a cold wintery blast for sure and here in Whangarei we felt the cold same as everyone else. After a long hot spell it was a real shock to the system and a bit early in the season.
Had some mighty heavy showers last evening too but all clear this morning. Sunny and blue out there but a cool wind still.
Our central heating took a bashing for sure and was switching on and off during the night which again is early for the season. In fact it is more unusual that usual. Dog was happy and warm though.

Good frost at my place just east of Hamilton. Nice day here with cool southerly. My car suggests 11 degrees at 10.30.
Better day than yesterday that is for sure
Cheers
Dave
