WeatherWatch.co.nz back online after serious fault

> From the WeatherWatch archives

WeatherWatch.co.nz was offline for 12 long hours following a serious technical fault that developed Sunday evening.

The entire server that hosts WeatherWatch.co.nz and numerous other websites crashed around 10:30 last night and wasn’t fixed until about 10:30 this morning.

WeatherWatch.co.nz says it was unfortunate timing with the rough weather across the country but says the website maintains a high level of accessibility, especially during storms, and expects no further problems.

Late last year WeatherWatch.co.nz upgraded its server to ensure it could handle higher volume of traffic during severe weather events.  Last nights fault was not related to the WeatherWatch website or increased traffic.
