This weekend kicks off with westerlies and mild conditions in most places but by Sunday the North Island will be warming up, possibly into the low 20s in the east while the lower South Island enters a short lived colder burst of weather.
The long range trend for next week shows more low pressure, more rain makers and more spring-like westerly quarter winds.
Also, it’s allergy season already – with pollen in the air yet another sign the spring change has slowly started to arrive.
