Philip Duncan and @nzheraldtv bring you the latest on the windy weather across the country. The good news? The wind eases for most places on Saturday. The bad news for many? It returns on Sunday and Monday and continues for most of next week with conditions not expected to ease until next weekend when a very slow moving high from south of Australia finally drifts in.
In a nut shell, Saturday calm for many but still a bit windy in Auckland and other exposed areas.
Sunday, calmer in the North Island, windier in the South Island. Monday windier in the North Island calmer in the South Island. Then the rest of the week becomes quite messy.
Check back on Saturday morning as we provide a running sheet of the incoming windy weather – but there is light at the end of the tunnel, the last few days of November look, generally, much calmer.
