In what appears to be the largest dome of high pressure around New Zealand in some months the winds are now easing across the nation.
While cloudy and gloomy for some, especially in the west and central areas, the forecast is generally settled.
It’s not a dry high – isolated drizzle and the odd downpour are possible over the coming week:
