A high covers New Zealand for Monday and shifts away on Tuesday allowing a windy, warm, nor’wester to kick in.
This warmer than average airflow will remain for Wednesday as well, pushing eastern areas up by a few to several degrees above average.
Things start to cool down on Thursday with a southerly change on Friday putting temperatures back to normal (maybe even a degree below normal for some in the south). Wettest this week in the west, driest in the east.
